The visco elastic foam mattress came on the scene back in the 1990s. For those that own one of these wonderful mattresses, they will always tell you how wonderful it is. I can guarantee you they will never have a single complaint about it. I am one of those people. I purchased my visco elastic foam mattress a few of years ago, and have been spoiled ever since.

The memory foam mattress is a temperature sensitive type of material that molds to the body and supports pressure points. For people who have back problems throughout the day this memory foam mattress is absolutely amazing.

The visco elastic foam mattress is truly amazing and deserves a second glance. The fact that it allows a person to truly get a good nights sleep has to be recognized as a healthy option, especially for those who toss and turn all night.

Now, I would like to touch on something that I have read numerous times. There are claims that a visco elastic foam mattress does not harbor dust mites. I have read conflicting reports on this. Some will say that this is not true. I can not give you the correct answer without scientific proof. So just be aware that these claims may not be true. The best thing you can do to protect yourself against dust mites is to use a protective cover for any type of mattress. If you do decide to purchase a protective mattress cover, make sure it is not made of plastic. This will cause sweating. There are some high quality mattress protectors out there that are not made of plastic that will protect your mattress from dust mites.

A visco elastic foam mattress will last much longer then a spring loaded mattress or a water bed. This is because there are no springs that can get bent out of shape or risk of a leak. It is still suggested that you turn the mattress from time to time to keep it in good shape.

A visco elastic foam mattress may cost more, but I can assure you from my own personal experience that it is well worth the extra price. There was a time when I suffered from lower back aches. I no longer have lower back aches. I contribute this to my visco elastic foam mattress.
